The Worship Commission is entrusted with the responsibility of creating services that are meaningful and inspirational.  Worship is a time to lift our voices in praise and thanksgiving.  It is a time to gather as the community of believers to hear God’s Word, to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to reach out to each other in Christian love.

Working closely with the Pastor our first task is to see that the Word is preached purely and the Sacraments are administered rightly. We also try to provide variety in music, liturgy, prayers, and ceremonies so that we might taste of the bounty available in God’s Kingdom while making the services user-friendly so that all who visit are comfortable and feel welcome.

Worship is a public experience. We worship together as a community in Christ: we all listen to the sermon, we confess our sins together, we join together in communion. Worship is also a personal experience. We have different preferences about how to worship - - our favorite songs, our favorite prayers. But no matter how we worship, the message and purpose are the same. Worship is a way for us to communicate with God and an acknowledgement of God’s authority. When we worship, we reinforce our beliefs and our commitment to God.
